Beautiful Bulldog Contest
During Relays each year, a new Beautiful Bulldog is crowned. Owners from around the country bring their bulldogs to downtown Des Moines for the competition. Celebrity judges select the winner.
Lucy Brown, owned by Nancy Brown, of Johnston, Iowa, sits on the throne after being crowned the winner of the 32nd annua Drake Relays Beautiful Bulldog Contest Monday, April 25, 2011, in Des Moines. Iowa. The pageant kicks off the Drake Relays festivities at Drake University where a bulldog is the mascot.
